Urban Vision Engineers presented at the Greater Manchester Highways Academy, a county-wide initiative instigated by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) for young professionals to learn and discuss issues affecting the industry with their peers.
The team have been involved since the first meeting last year, but this was the first time hosting the quarterly meeting which five delegates curated.
Our Engineers were given the topic of sustainability and members worked together to arrange the itinerary, speakers, room booking and refreshments.
Along with officers from Urban Vision presenting projects such as Swinton Gateway, sustainable drainage and Salford’s Bee Networks, Lead Member for Sustainable Regeneration, Councillor Derek Antrobus, also discussed his ideas on sustainability in Salford – a special thanks to Councillor Antrobus, as the team felt very privileged to hear from him.
Congratulations to our Engineers for putting together a wide-ranging, informative and interesting programme for the 3.5 hour session.
