Urban Vision, on behalf of Salford City Council, has recently expanded Mesne Lea Primary School to include a one classroom based extension for a new, specialist base to support children with special education needs.
Salford City Council required the new base to meet the needs of children who require significantly more support to thrive in mainstream schools so our building team were appointed to design and deliver a provision for pupils to support children with autism at Mesne Lea Primary School.
The extension includes a specialist teaching area for around eight children, as well as a staffroom, withdrawal room and toilet provision.
Urban Vision designed the extension, provided mechanical and electrical engineering services and project managed the construction work through to delivery.
Now the extension is complete, pupils at Mesne Lea Primary School with special needs requirements benefit from the new base to support their mainstream education.
