Planning and building control

Urban Vision’s Planning and Building Control comprises of planning policy, development control, enforcement, minerals and waste planning and building control services. Planning policy produces a range of planning documents and provides guidance and assistance to clients in accordance with regional and national regulations.  Development Control regulates the appearance of buildings, their effect on the general environment and neighbouring properties, and the ' correct' and approved use of land. Building Control ensures that buildings are constructed properly and in accordance with current standards and regulations.
 
When Urban Vision was formed in February 2005, the company originally had one main client – Salford City Council – but thanks to our high level of expertise, knowledge and resources, we now also offer planning services to clients on a national scale, for example, we are currently working with 40 local planning authorities in England and Wales.

• Producing a core strategy for South Lakeland District Council 
• Providing assistance with Chorley, Preston and South Ribble's joint core strategy
• Planning support to the planning casework, local plans and regional strategies teams at the Government Office for the North West
• Producing five conservation area management plans for Salford City Council
• Providing planning consultancy advice for numerous Building Schools for the Future sites for Lancashire County Council and Kirklees Metropolitan Council
