Roadworks Update:

Port Salford Junction Access Scheme

Due to unforeseen circumstances and the recent bad weather, the programme of works to complete the Port Salford Junction access scheme has been altered.

This means that the Eccles bound full time lane closure on the A57 Liverpool Road between Makro and Barton Moss Road will now be in place until 28th February 2016.

A fulltime week long contra-flow will also be in place between Sunday 6th March to Sunday 13th March for resurfacing works at the Port Salford Junction on the A57 Liverpool Road.  Between Sunday 6th March and Wednesday 9th March works will be undertaken on the Eccles Bound Carriageway (Irlam to Eccles).  From Thursday 10th  March to Sunday 13th March works will be undertaken on the Irlam Bound Carriageway (Eccles to Irlam).

We apologise for any delays or disruption caused during this time, however due to the nature of the material and constraints of the location this is deemed the quickest and least disruptive way to undertake the works.

The contractor will work as efficiently as possible to ensure works are completed within the time allowed  if not before and will remove the Traffic Management whenever it is not required.
