Highways maintenance works

Through management, supervision and operational expertise, the Highway Maintenance Works team offers assistance in the provision of safe, convenient and well-presented highways. Via our comprehensive site appraisal, estimating and construction capabilities, we are able to deal with all associated aspects of highway maintenance.

We are responsible for the management and maintenance of the majority of the adopted highway network in Salford. In accordance with the Code of Practice for Highway Maintenance Management, our experienced team carries out all aspects of highways maintenance, from major structural works, day-to-day repairs and the refurbishing of worn out roads, bridges and footways, to street lighting, investigating accident sites and enhancing the general road environment. We also manage the winter maintenance operation to keep roads safer during icy weather.

In addition to reactive maintenance on requested works, we provide routine technical assessments and surveys to determine where work is necessary.
