Education
At Urban Vision we are committed to improving education environments by introducing innovative design techniques and sustainable practices in their construction.
As a partner in the Lancashire and Kirklees Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programmes, we are at the forefront of new school design ideas and place great emphasis on research and consultation with teachers and educational representatives to ensure that the establishments we design are conducive to learning.
We have placed sustainability at the heart of the delivery agenda for every new school within the BSF programmes. Working closely with our partner engineers, we ensure that all technologies specified in the design and build of the schools are energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
In addition to our client work in the education sector, we are committed to engaging with Salford and Manchester Universities, as well as the local schools in the Salford area, to promote exchange of knowledge, develop networks, offer work placements and to provide mentoring.
Our geological services division, GMGU, works out of the University of Manchester and is actively engaged in sharing knowledge with the university, as well as undertaking client work in environmental monitoring, site investigation, historic land use searches and strategic planning.
