Winter maintenance

The Winter Maintenance team is dedicated to ensuring the safety of all road users, including buses, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians. Through the provision of an efficient 24hour, 7day service, during the winter period, we can minimise the delays caused by adverse weather conditions.  

We offer the following winter maintenance services:

• Salting (or gritting) the roads
• Snow ploughing
• Clearing footways
• Provision of salt bins for public use at various locations
