Regeneration and Development
The aim of regeneration is essentially to revive urban landscapes, so that the communities that live and work in them benefit and thrive from improved facilities, infrastructure, environment and amenities. This can often involve a combination of public, private and voluntary organisations all working together to achieve a common goal.
Urban Vision works with clients across most areas of regeneration, in particular local government, development agencies and in partnership with the private, voluntary and community sectors. Our work focuses on tackling the problems associated with social and economic decline and deprivation and we do this by providing strategic advice on local policy implementation. We also help with action planning and implementation, housing renewal projects, funding, baseline analysis and impact assessments as well as stakeholder consultation and engagement programmes.
In particular we have played a key role in helping Salford’s Urban Regeneration Company, Central Salford URC achieve its early ambitions for urban renewal in Salford and have commenced work on the Government’s schools regeneration initiative and Building Schools for the Future - with our work in Lancashire and Salford.
