Parking services
Urban Vision provides a comprehensive civil parking enforcement service, on behalf of Salford City Council, that operates a transparent parking strategy so that all areas of the city are treated fairly. We aim to ensure adequate parking provision across the city, both on- and off-street, and that residential areas are supplied with adequate security. We work hard to balance local authority’s statutory duty in providing suitable parking facilities on and off the highway, and the needs of the road user in general. Our key functions include:
- Promoting the safe and free flow of traffic
- Promoting pedestrian safety
- Promoting accessibility by effectively managing the parking of vehicles
- Raising revenue to cover the costs of parking provision and enforcement
- Monitoring enforcement contractor activity and performance
- Debt registration and bailiff monitoring
- Maintaining controlled parking zones and off-street car parks
- Administering residential, contract and staff permit parking schemes
- Exercising the Council’s statutory duty to consider representations from vehicle owners with respect to Penalty Charge Notices
- Submission of cases to the National Parking Adjudication Service on behalf of the Council
- Enforcement of offences under the ‘Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005’
