Joint Waste Planning Study

GMGU, Urban Vision's Minerals and Waste Planning Service, has been funded by Defra to share experiences and address issues raised from the production of Joint Waste Development Plan Documents in Metropolitan and Unitary Authorities.

Working in partnership with Planning Officers, Society Enterprises Ltd, the study took place over a 6-month period. Three main areas were addressed:

• A review of national progress on joint waste planning activities
• Comparisons of joint working initiatives in the North West and London
• Development of a Guidance Note for Metropolitan and Unitary Authorities
