Asset management plan surveys
Urban Vision provides asset management and property information management services by way of advice and assistance for plans, measured surveys and the implementation of annual information reviews. Through the development of a comprehensive asset management database, the team is able to provide strategic information on condition, suitability and sufficiency to inform surveys, project plans/designs and assist in property rationalisation strategies. With a wealth of experience in the preparation of asset management plan surveys, we can offer specific advice on Condition Surveys, Disability Discrimination Act Surveys, Premises Information, Security Surveys, Sufficiency (Net Capacity), Suitability Surveys and CAD Drawings. We use customised ICT systems to effectively manage compliance with legislation such as legionella risk assessment and monitoring regime, gas safety certificates, asbestos registers and asbestos management plans. We have specialist expertise undertaking education sector projects and can interpret legislation relating to school buildings to act on behalf of schools when developing and submitting applications to the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). Working on multi-disciplinary devolved formula capital and revenue projects up to £2m, we can confidently deliver effective, on time and on budget asset management services to any education or school property portfolio. We also collaborate with and support other areas of Urban Vision, (e.g. education, corporate and facilities management services) in the management and recording of property asset changes through redesigns or changes in property attributes. Some of our key projects to date include:
- Development of an Asset Management Database – provision of asset management plans for 103 schools in the city of Salford
- Submission of successful applications to DfES, Section 77 / General Consent under the Protection of School Playing Fields Legislation
- Development of a document and drawing management system for 98 schools and 320 corporate buildings, including management of their statutory legislative certification
- Management of 98 asbestos registers and adherence to an asbestos management plan
